Cynthia (Cindy) was born in Illinois. Her parents are Floyd and Frances. Her grandfather,
William A. Summers, pastored a church in Medora, Illinois. Her father also was a pastor.
She started singing on WJBM
in Jerseyville for a radio program for the church when she was 4 years old. She has been raised in church.
She married
Ray in Hoopeston, IL. They moved from Danville to Springfield. He is also a minister. They traveled around ministering as
well as pastoring a few churches.
Matthew was born in 1982 and became a part of their ministry at age 4
by playing drums and also singing.
The New Jerusalem Singers became a vital part of their ministry and they began
to travel to nursing homes and other places to minister the word in song. This kept expanding and they were busy on the road
singing almost every weekend.
In 1996 the Lord led them to pastor a church in Auburn, IL and they came off the
road singing. They pastored in Auburn, Browning, and Jacksonville and then in 2001 we moved to Springfield.
The
Lord has opened doors for us to begin ministering on the road again.
Cindy is the manager of the group so contact her for more info.
The New
Jerusalem Singers will be ministering to those who will invite them. We generally sing for a love offering to churches.

Ray Spellbrink was born and raised in
Danville, IL. Ray was saved at 11.
Ray married
Cindy in 1980 and thus they began their married lives together. Not long after their marriage they moved to Springfield
One of Ray's passions is to help those who have
been knocked down, kicked around and otherwise spiritually abused. Having been knocked down and kicked around himself, Ray
knows well how to relate to those who are hurting due to these wounds. He also, knows the importance of restoration and moving
on in God.
The Lord began dealing with Ray
regarding open church, house church, relational church around 1999 or so. After doing some reading and comparing notes
with the Word of God, the Lord led Ray to "take the church home", as he put it. He was pastoring a church and the
Lord led to begin house church meetings. Ray found a new freedom...not only for him, but for the Body of Christ, in
general. The Lord took them from open church meetings, to house church to relational Christianity. Ray and Cindy
have learned so much from the way the Lord has led them. Ray continues to believe it is very important to be open to
and led by the Holy Spirit.
Ray is motivated
by a love for God and a love for people. Ray ministers through the Word, music, song and humor. He believes in the simplicity
of the Gospel. His favorite saying is
"IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS"
