Saturday night - the 4th Saturday of the month and we were at Holy Ground Coffeehouse in Springfield. Joanne Clark from The Barn in Pana also sang. The folks there tonight seemed to enjoy the music. They smiled, talked, drank coffee, soda or water and enjoyed the company of other Christians. There were a few folks that came out that we knew and we also got to meet some new folks that night. The music was relaxing.
Sometimes it is hard to go from one venue to another. Atmospheres are different and people can respond silently or loudly. Tonight was one of the quieter times. But, although it was quieter than other times we have been there, that does not mean it was bad because some of you know that I like the verse that talks about Elijah going on the mountain, God wasn't in the wind or the fire but he was in that still small voice. Those that left told us that they enjoyed their time there so hopefully they will return in the future. Don has given me the opportunity to book the groups on the 4th Sat. of each month for Southern/Country Gospel nights. They start at 7 pm and the doors open at 6:30. We are usually done by 9:30 so come on out and see what God can do.
